After partition of India in 1947, Late Shri Parsram Parumal Dabrai migrated from Sindh, Pakistan to India & settled at Wadala in Mumbai.
He believed in simple living & high thinking and was a philanthropist in true sense and to carry out the charitable activities he founded 'Seva Sadan Trust' which was established for upliftment of drown trodden people. He started many learning schools such as “Naari Shala” for teaching tailoring to Women so that they can learn and earn their livelihood.
He had an ambition to provide education to refugees who migrated from Sindh, Pakistan to India. With the vision to provide education at higher level and to achieve this objective he started 'New Era High School' in 1950.
Since then all the trustees of the trust have worked tirelessly towards the Vision, Mission & Moto of providing world class education. The trust believes in giving equal opportunity of learning to all and does don't discriminate between and class, caste or religion.

With most of its teacher's having experience of more than 20 years in teaching, the combined experience of the school is more than 1000 years which is what makes this school a treasured school, treasure of vast experience and knowledge.

It has a collection of more than 25093 books which includes textbooks, General Books , Reference Books, 356 bounds volume of periodicals, serial publications 485 dissertation, 100 maps and charts. it is subscribing around 36 journals/periodicals (Indian and foreign journals) and 10 daily news papers everyday.
The school library is a spacious and well-stocked airconditioned room that provides a conducive environment for reading, learning and research.
The library has a collection of over 25093 books, magazines, newspapers, journals and e-resources covering various subjects, genres and languages.
The library also has a computer lab with internet access and a digital library that offers online databases,
e-books and e-journals.
The library is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on all working days and is managed by a qualified librarian.
